ESTELLE WALKIN
Bronx Arts Ensemble teaching artist Estelle Walkin is a multi-talented dancer and artist born in Turks and Caicos and raised in the Dominican Republic. Her mother is Dominican and her father a Turks and Caicos Islander.

Estelle has always had a passion for dance. She began her career as a dancer at the age of 15 and has been pursuing her dream ever since. For her, dance and art have always gone hand-in-hand which is why she decided to focus on her vocation as a sketch artist in her early 20s.

Living in the Dominican Republic, she began her career in arts as a publicist. It was during this time that she discovered her great passion for drawing and painting.
In order to fulfill her dream of becoming a professional dancer, Estelle moved to New York City where she completed the (ISVP) international dance program at Broadway Dance Center.

Estelle currently still lives in New York City. She attended Lehman College where she graduated with honors and received her BFA in Fine Arts. One of Estelle’s main focuses is to share her two passions – Dance and Fine Arts – with the
audience in a way that is heartfelt and that people can relate to in a positive way.
