BAE Remote Learning

BAE Teaching Artists have obtained skills through professional development to provide their students with arts education in an online environment.

Students experience BAE’s arts education programs by either synchronous learning (live classes taught during a designated time slot) or asynchronous learning (pre-recorded video content); both options paired with uploaded assignments including deadlines for completion.

BAE Summer Arts

Through an asynchronous learning format(BAE Teaching Artists in pre-recorded video), the “Summer Arts” online education series presented the art forms of African Drumming & Dance, Capoeira-Movement, Hip Hop Dance, and General Music (Vocal Technique) in a supportive style tailored to appeal to any age group.

Through a synchronous learning format, a BAE Teaching Artist provided a community yoga/meditation practice (for all ages) with a focus on self care and encouragement of communal sharing of emotions and thoughts.

“The classes, especially the yoga class, were invaluable during these difficult times. I miss them! Please do all you can to continue”

These classes were absolutely wonderful! I hope you will keep the link active so we can go back and review over and over. All of the instructors were great. My children and I enjoyed all of the classes very much. Thank you for offering this to the community ❤️

It was great that the kids were able to take part even though they were home. Thank you so so much. We really needed that sense of community after this isolation period from school and friends. Also (due to working from home etc) we were able to drag dad in to take part and so it helped with family bonding too.

Thank you for keeping my children engaged virtually throughout this pandemic.
