Bronx Arts Ensemble Woodwind Quintet presents Harmonic Orators

March 29 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FREE

The Bronx Arts Ensemble Woodwind Quintet presents Harmonic Orators. The breath of wind, across sky and sea. A dive into global exploration of narrative through the lens of four remarkable women.

Our Woodwind Quintet carries forward the legacy of four 21st-century composers: Chen Yi, Emily Doolittle, Adriana Verdié, and Valerie Coleman. These composers not only ground us in their observations and perspectives on humanity but also invite us to feel. Feel the rhythm of the music, to the calling of nature. They are our Harmonic Orators. Carrying and sharing the voices of sacred spaces, nature, dance, and cultural memory. Guided by the ensemble’s breath, we are reminded of our interconnectedness.

The event will be held at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in Founders Hall at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
