Our BAE 53! Gala celebrated the best of the Bronx
with our BAE Ensemble
with our supporters
with Dr. Burns, our inspiring Gala Honoree
and an exciting drive to support BAE’s innovative Early Childhood Violin Program
On June 12, 2025, we celebrated Bronx Arts 53! A Bronx Arts Tale, a powerful night of music, joy, and commitment to the Bronx’s artistic future.
Hosted at the beautiful and historic National Arts Club, our annual gala brought together supporters of the Bronx Arts Ensemble, musicians, and community champions. The evening featured a performances by Bronx Arts Ensemble’s violinist, Jorge Ávila, and cellist, Robert Burkhart, as well as heartfelt speeches and a spotlight on our Gala Honoree, the inspiring Dr. Burns.
This year’s gala centered around a vital mission: to fund the Early Childhood Violin Program. This initiative brings string education into Bronx public schools, laying the foundation for musical growth from the very beginning.
We’re proud to share that we’ve already raised over 78% of our $150,000 campaign goal. The momentum is strong, but we still need your help.
“Will you help us raise $30,000 to fund our Early Childhood Violin program? Your contribution will pay for a second year of music education for Bronx schoolchildren and a foundation for future success.
Your past support means the world to BAE. Your support now will mean the world to the Bronx’s youngest musicians.”
With gratitude,
Robert Fanuzzi, Ph.D.
