Gala proceeds provide crucial funding for the BAE’s arts-in-education programs in 50 Bronx schools - instruction in dance, visual arts and drama as well as music. Students from various Bronx Arts Ensemble arts-in-education programs enter an annual ballroom competition as well as showcase their violin, guitar, African dance and drumming talents at the Lovinger Theatre at Lehman College in BAE's Annual Festival of the Arts.

RICARDO R. FERNANDEZ became the second president of Lehman College on September 1, 1990, and is the longest-serving among CUNY's twenty-three current presidents. Throughout his tenure, he has expanded the College's commitment both to educational excellence and to access to higher education for the economically disadvantaged. more>

GAYLE JENNINGS-0'BYRNE, vice president, JPMorgan Chase Foundation helps implement the firm's philanthropic vision to build vibrant communities. She is responsible for investing in not-for-profit organizations, programs and solutions that address issues of affordable housing, workforce development, early childcare, education, arts and culture and the environment. She is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of partner and program investments, which includes conducting due diligence, community development services, technical assistance, consulting, referrals and grants. more>

A practicing psychiatrist since 1955, DR. DONALD MEYERS completed his internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in 1950-1951. His psychiatric residency at Bellevue Hospital in New York from 1951-1955 also included two years service as a psychiatric medical officer in the U.S. Army. A graduate in 1967 from Columbia University's Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, Dr. Meyers' positions at that institution included that of Training and Supervising Analyst, 1972- , Chairman, Child Analysis Training Committee, 1973-1981, Executive (Educational) Committee; Chairman, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Division, 1992- and Senior Instructor, The Advanced Candidate Continuous Case Seminar, 1979-. more>
